A Letter

Today we got a letter in the mail
from
my son, the missionary.
He is still in the Missionary Training Center,
studying and learning

every day.

These are the beautiful young men and women
he goes to class with every d
ay.

He said, "send CANDY"
some things never change.

I have been smiling ever since
and I can't quit singing,
"We just got a letter!"

  1. Oh, what joy to get a letter! There is something so special about getting something physical in the mail. It's like love in paper form. Those look like some sharp-looking young men and women.

  4. You are so blessed to have such a motivated son to serve the Lord!!! I always wanted to do some missionary work, but God didn't have that planned for me. I remember when my ex-husband would send letters from Iraq & Bosnia to send candy. Just remember, chocolate will melt! LOL Hope you have a blessed day!!

  6. Candy .. never too old for candy...

You must be so proud he is going to be doing Good work helping others.. with his spirituality.

I'm an Agnostic but a spiritual one..... I feel each practice there own faith/spirituality in their own style........and it does not matter. It is just spreading the Good in any Version that really counts.

  7. "We just got a letter!" as in Blues Clues? I know about that show only because I'm a nana.

That's great that you heard from your son, I can imagine how excited you must have been.

Send candy? That's something I'd write!
